Gin is famous these days. No wonder why. It is the only “alcohol” which is not an alcohol, it is medicine. Well, a hundred years ago it was. In England for example. And a Gin & Tonic was for travellers and explorers one of the best ways to prevent Malaria (because of the chinin in the tonic water). At Candlewood in Knysna we love Gin.
Actually on Andis 40th birthday we made a Gin-Party with more than 40 Gins from all over the world. Some of them survived and can still be tasted at our bar. But, one of our top rated Gins origins from a small town called Stillbaai on the Garden Route. The Inverroche Gin is one of our favorites. And there is a fantastic Tonic in South Africa called Fitch & Leeds. Try it.
